• Land qualifies the motherhood in our life. We grow and merge in the land. She offers almost everything in totality of life. She acts as a mul tatwa (primal principal) of establishment and is available in the form of nature (prakriti). Every root is originated from her in the physical world. She is most vibrant in nature. She nourishes everything in billions of years of her history, she flourishes beautiful life and pattern.
• Earth’s infinite vibrations couldn’t stabilize the human mind and human started the bloody possessiveness to occupy her. Innumerous positive and negative acts have happened in the history. Innumerous energies have been established and dissolve on her surface, that act left the micro-frequencies on part and parcel for better and healthy habitat that need to study- analyze- treat- cure as per the principles of Vastushastra.
• ‘History must be known’
Every act retains its energy content in the part and parcel of land. It may be for few fractions or thousands of years. That part of land resonates with the effect of acts in the history, which affects human energy spectrum.
• The aura of particular land piece acts on the aura of living being. When we own the land, the energy of land get associate with us. If it is healthy, its association is healthy, and vice versa.Vastushastra suggest, history of particular land must be known, whether the land has been cremation ground, dump yard, north bank of river or reservoir, old buildings with violent history, trees around we get the intuitional instruction or glimpses of what that land is charged.
• There may be other impurities like old metal pieces, utensils, earthen wares, artifacts, treasures, God idols, bones etc., these items hold very strong resonance of good or bad energies.
Second aspect of impure land is, in urban areas, most land that is converted into housing projects had dump yards, marshy lands, garbage and saturated sewage which pollute the quality of land. Thus, one needs to treat the soil, by blocking the polluted water source (sewage sullage), removing outer layer of soil and let it dry.
• One need to test its humidity, color, smell, feeling and touch. If it gives good feel, then land is okay and treated normal purification. If it is contented with vigorous history, underground impurities must be removed, if need some strong technical rituals of purification should be performed (this will be explained next).
• It is important to check the slopes and elevation of land towards auspicious and source direction, if not, it should be corrected.
• After removal of underground and surface impurities with corrected ground slopes,
The first ritual of purification should perform with Gaumutra (it has immense cleansing property).Dig a 2’x 2’x 2’ pit at diagonal center of plot, mix 20 liters Gaumutra with 200 liters of water, add some Gangajal (or soil from the emerge of river), fill the pit with water and spray on total plot area. This ritual has to be done on Amavasya tithi. And let it complete one lunar cycle, after this ritual of cleansing, all property of soil as it starts to receive good currents of cosmos and earth. The land behaves in auspicious, prosperous and fertile manner.
• Bhumi pujan is most important ritual before starting any operation. Every land is under guardianship of spiritual system of deities. So bhumipujan must include offerings to Aadhar shakti (Prithwi), Gramdevta, Kshetra devhta, Kuldevhta, Ishta devhta and deities beneath ground (patal shakti) on specific time (tithi).
Bhumishudhi and Bhumi Pujan ritual connects the land with the harmony and co-ordination of five great element (Panchtatwa), geomagnetic currents, cosmic current, deities and spiritual blessing. This is the connection of individual soul to land.
